I already have an account, why do I need to create a PIN?
We've made some improvements to our sign-in process to offer you a better candidate experience. Creating a PIN allows you to access new features in Amazon jobs. Please make sure you check your spam folder.
I forgot my PIN, how do I get a new one?
Don’t worry, we can help you create a new one quickly. Please follow the steps below:
- Go to the log-in screen (Jobsatamazon.co.uk/login),
- Enter the email address or phone number that you used to create your account and click “Next”
- Select "Forgot Your Personal Pin?"
- Enter the email address that you used to create your account
- We’ll send a verification code to the email address you entered, please check your inbox to retrieve it (if you didn’t receive it, make sure you check your spam folder)
- Enter this code into the verification code box in your browser.
- Enter a new PIN and click "Update".
You're done. You can go back to the log-in screen and log in to your account using your email address and new PIN.
I don't have an email address. Can I create an account using my phone number?
At this time, Amazon jobs only supports sign-in using a valid email address.
What information or features can I access with my Amazon jobs account?
You can use your Amazon jobs account to access your profile and check the information and status of all your applications.

What is my application status?
You can check the status of your application by following these steps.
To view your personal information:
- Login to your candidate account
- Click on the menu icon in the top left-hand corner
- Click on 'My Jobs' from the dropdown menu
- You will see your appointment details under each job
My application status hasn't changed. Who can I contact for an update?
Your dashboard is regularly being updated to display the most recent status of each application. When an application status changes,
your dashboard is updated in almost real-time to reflect this new status. If it hasn’t changed, we’re still processing your application. For further questions,
please contact us. What does it mean when my application status is withdrawn?
An application has an active status when it is pending a decision. The status can change to withdrawn for a number of reasons: if you have requested your application do be withdrawn, if you have been hired for a role at Amazon, or if you are no longer under consideration.
What is your hiring process?
Here’s what to expect from the moment you click “Apply” to your first day at Amazon.
Step 1: Job Application & Review
Your application journey begins online. You’ll:
- Provide some basic personal details
- Complete an online assessment
- Select your preferred shift
Step 2: Evaluation & Candidate Interview
Depending on the role, you may be invited to:
- Attend a short video interview
- Complete an additional online assessment
- Provide extra information to support a background check
These steps help us ensure the role is right for you and maintain a safe, secure workplace for all.
Step 3: Virtual Pre-Hire Event (VNHE)
This is the final step before joining!
- You’ll attend a 15-minute virtual appointment
- You’ll provide your Right to Work documents via video call (See Work Permit for more details)
- We’ll send you an email with all joining instructions
After your documents are reviewed, we’ll contact you by email or phone to confirm your Day 0 schedule.
Step 4: Day 0 – Onboarding & Training
Welcome aboard! Your Day 0 includes:
- A 3.5-hour paid onboarding session
- A presentation from Learning & Development and HR
- A Health & Safety test (required to begin working)
This may take place online or on-site, depending on your location and role. In many cases, Day 0 and Day 1 happen on the same day.
Step 5: Day 1 – Your First Day
Your journey officially begins! On Day 1, you’ll:
- Receive your Amazon badge
- Blue badge for permanent/fixed-term contracts
- Green badge for contract workers - Get a full building tour
Who will I be employed by if my application is successful?
Depending on the job you applied for, you will be employed by Amazon directly or a hiring agency.
When can I start working once I have applied?
Most of our jobs have immediate starts. You also have the possibility to select from a range of available start dates
What happens after I submit my application?
You will receive a response within 24-36 hours. Communications will be sent over email with links and instructions to the next step of the process.
Do I need to submit a CV with my application?
No. Amazon UK no longer asks for CVs during the application process for these roles.
What Happens After I Submit My Background Check?
Once you’ve submitted your background check, there’s nothing else you need to do for now. Here's what to expect next:
- Processing Time. Background checks are usually processed within 5 working days
- Third-Party Vendor. The background check is handled by our trusted third-party vendor. They may reach out to you directly via email if they need any additional information or clarification.
- Keep an Eye on Your Inbox. Please monitor your inbox, including your spam/junk folder, just in case the email gets filtered.
- No Need to Follow Up. During this time, no action is required from you. Just sit tight and we'll keep the process moving on our end.
- Next Steps
• Once you’ve successfully completed your interview and your background check meets the requirements, your application will automatically move to the next stage.
• You’ll then receive a Day 1 Confirmation email with all the details you need for your start date.
I already have an application; how can I select a shift?
If you do not see a shift that works for you or have not provided your shift preferences, please log in to the job portal at
https://www.jobsatamazon.co.uk/app#/login and click on 'Provide preferences'. We will send you an email when new shifts become available. You can also check back on the job portal periodically as shifts are updated on a regular basis, especially from Monday to Friday.
I already selected a shift; how can I change it?
If you wish to modify your shift preferences after submitting your application, you can go to your pre-hire checklist / candidate dashboard. On the job card with your application, click the 3 dots next to the job details and choose the option to "change schedule and start date".
If this option is not available, you can withdraw your current application and submit a new application for the same job with your updated preferences after verifying if the vacancy is currently posted on our website and open.
My work permit
What ‘Right to Work’ documents do I need to attach to my application?
Please provide the appropriate documentation to confirm your eligibility to work in the UK. Here’s what you need based on your citizenship:
- Option 1: UK Passport, OR
- Option 2: Birth/Adoption/Naturalisation Certificate AND proof of National Insurance (any official document or letter that states your name and your National Insurance Number).
- Option 1: Irish Passport, OR
- Option 2: Irish Identity Card, OR
- Option 3: Birth/Adoption/Naturalisation Certificate AND proof of National Insurance (any official document or letter that states your name and your National Insurance Number).
3. For All Other Citizens:
- Option 1: Online Right to Work Share Code AND your Date of Birth, OR
- Option 2: Unexpired Passport AND Visa Vignette/Right of Abode, OR
- Option 3: Current Immigration Status Document AND proof of National Insurance, OR
- Option 4: Official letter from UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) stating that you’ve applied for a residence permit. The letter must show the case number.
4. For Student Visa Holders:
- Option 1: Online Right to Work Share Code AND your Date of Birth, AND
- Option 2: Official letter from your university or educational institution confirming your academic term dates and holiday/half-term dates that cover the entire duration of your employment.
Important: Please make sure the documents are up-to-date and valid. If you're unsure which documents to submit, feel free to reach out for clarification.
How Do I Upload Documents and Photos in My Candidate Account?
Before your Amazon New Hire Event/Pre-Hire, you’ll be required to complete a couple of essential tasks. Here's how to upload your documents and photos:
You’ll need to provide the required Right to Work documentation. Follow these steps:
- 1.1 Provide Right to Work Documents
To comply with Amazon policy and UK legal requirements, you'll be asked to provide documentation confirming your authorisation to work in the UK. Click here for the full list of acceptable right to work documents. - 1.2 Receive Email from Deloitte
You will get an email from Deloitte (amazon-rtw@deloitte.co.uk) with a link to their GoVerify ID Validation Technology (IDVT) system. The email will instruct you to upload a Live Photo of your original, hard-copy Right to Work documentation. - 1.3 Complete the IDVT Check
Once you upload your documents via the IDVT tool, it will generate a result. Follow the next steps in the system to complete the check - 1.4 Receive Confirmation
When your Right to Work check is completed successfully, you’ll get a confirmation email from the - Work Authorisation team. This check must be completed before your start date, as failure to do so will result in a cancelled start date.
- 1.5 Important Note

2. Upload a Passport-Style Photo for Your Badge
You'll need to upload a passport-style photo for your badge. Please follow these steps:
- 2.1 Log into Your Account Go to Jobs at Amazon and log into your candidate account.
- 2.2 Access the Menu
Click the Menu icon in the top right corner of the page. - 2.3 Go to 'My Jobs' Click on “My Jobs.”
- 2.4 Choose 'Prepare for Your Appointment'
Select “Prepare for your Appointment” for the job application you want to upload the photo for. - 2.5 Start Badge Photo Upload
Click “Start” next to the “Take your badge photo” option. - 2.6 Add Your Badge Photo
You can either take a photo using your camera or upload an image. - 2.7 Upload Your Photo
Click “Start uploading” and select the photo you wish to upload. - 2.8 Submit the Photo
After the photo is uploaded, click “Submit”. - 2.9 Check Submission Status
Ensure your photo was successfully uploaded. You can verify this in your account. - Troubleshooting

Missed Your VNHE Date? Need to Reschedule?
If you missed your VNHE (Virtual New Hire Event), follow these steps to reschedule:
- Wait for System Processing
After your missed appointment, please allow 4 to 5 hours for the system to process your application. - Check if You Can Reschedule
Once the processing time has passed, try to self-serve and reschedule your appointment through the system.
- Log in to your candidate account at Jobsatamazon.co.uk/app#/login
- Click the menu icon in the top left-hand corner
- Select ‘My Jobs’
- Click ‘Edit’ next to your chosen pre-hire appointment
- Reschedule your appointment to another available time
- Click ‘Cancel Appointment’ to finalise the changes

How do I set up and use Amazon Chime?
To attend your video interview with Amazon, you’ll need to use the Amazon Chime app. Follow these steps for a smooth experience:

Step 2: Set Up Your Account
- Sign in using an email linked to your Amazon shopping account (Amazon.com).
- Don’t have one? You can create a free account — no payment info needed.
Step 3: Join Your Interview
- Tap the Chime meeting link in your appointment confirmation email.
- Make sure to allow camera and microphone permissions when prompted.
- Arrive exactly at your scheduled time (not earlier or later).
If you can’t use the link, you can join manually:
- Open the app
- Click “Meetings” > “Join Meeting”
- Enter the Meeting ID provided in your confirmation email

Here’s a step-by-step guide to ensure you can join your virtual interview smoothly:
1. Log in to Your Account
- Visit your candidate account and go to your checklist.
- Click on Virtual Appointment: Join Here.
- You can join your interview 15 minutes before or after the scheduled time, but we recommend joining at the scheduled time.
2. Enable Your Camera and Microphone
- Make sure to Enable Camera and Enable Microphone to give the system access to both.
3. Test Your Video and Audio
- Confirm that your video and audio are working correctly.
- You will be asked to record yourself briefly and play it back to verify your settings.
- If you encounter any issues, there will be a troubleshooting guide to assist you.
- Once you’ve confirmed everything is working, click Start to enter the interview.
5. Wait for the Recruiter
- After starting, wait for the recruiter to join the interview.
- While waiting, you can view Appointment Details to learn more about the interview.
- When the recruiter joins, simply click the camera icon to enable your video.
Best Practices for a Smooth Interview Experience:
- Be sure to connect within the valid time window. For example, if your appointment is at 12:00 PM, you can join between 11:45 AM and 12:15 PM.
- We recommend joining at your scheduled time for the best experience.
Reconnecting After a Drop
- If you experience a disconnection, simply use the original link to reconnect. Be sure to reconnect within the link’s valid time frame (e.g., for a 12:00 PM appointment, reconnect by 12:15 PM).
